It is part of the development of the 45-acre Village at Market Creek. The vision encompasses a central cultural, commercial, and residential district with a network of successful businesses and residential projects fully owned by the community. The Village at Market Creek is home to Market Creek Events & Venues and the adjacent Market Creek Plaza. These businesses are part of a network of mission-related organizations connected to the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation, a non-profit foundation that supports resident ownership of neighborhood change. It is based on the philosophy that residents must own and drive change in their community for it to be meaningful and long-lasting.

From the beginning, these enterprises have been guided by a resident-led collaboration that includes local groups and organizations. Resident teams came together to help develop the cultural kitchen, which provides learning opportunities for future careers in the food service industry. Residents also led the planning and design of the Joe & Vi Jacobs Center, which is home to some of our venues.

Market Creek Events & Venues serves as a gathering place for the resident teams planning and building The Village at Market Creek. It provides unique venue options for community events and cultural celebrations, fostering social networks, and promoting cross-cultural understanding. Guests are encouraged to share and learn about history, heritage, food, and traditions of people from around the world.

Market Creek Events & Venues is dedicated to sustainable practices through energy and water conservation, waste reduction, and recycling. From construction to operations, we have incorporated environmentally innovative materials and conservation techniques.
